Bondmania...

Re-watching the classic Bond movies before moving onto some of the later installments with Daniel Craig.

Finally collected all the Connery films (and have satisfied myself that Thunderball [1965] was the only one I'd previously never seen).

Will never forget the opening scenes of You Only Live Twice (1967).
It's also the film where the audience finally gets to see mastermind villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld for the first time. (A cinematic moment akin to the unmasking of Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi)

Many elements of Thunderball and You Only Live Twice were spoofed in the Austin Powers series.

(also equally convinced that in Diamonds are Forever (1971) Tiffany Case has such nice cheeks, too)

Still missing the rather elusive On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) with George Lazenby.

Three films starring Roger Moore - The biggest gap in my 007 paraphenellia pile.
(the discs are technically in my possession, but won't play, and could serve as coasters for Vodka Martinis while I enjoy the other films)
Looking to obtain working copies of Live and Let Die (1973), Moonraker (1979) and For Your Eyes Only (1981).

On a lighter note (or is that Leiter?), was delighted to add the much darker Timothy Dalton films to my collection.
Suddenly torn between which film I enjoy more;
The Living Daylights (1987) or Licence to Kill (1989).

While the first Dalton film made an immediate impression, the second film has really grown on me.
(I feel that only repeated viewings will cause a winner to emerge)

As for Daniel Craig (who'd rather slit his wrists than play James Bond again), currently have four (of five) of his James Bond performances on my movie shelf - Including SPECTRE still in the plastic - But really looking forward to having all the classic films fresh in mind before tackling the newer ones.

Some favorite retro James Bond 007 promotional artwork:

Bond takes his first "civilized bath". In Japan, "men come first, women come second".

"As with For Your Eyes Only, the theatrical poster for The Living Daylights became a cause célèbre thanks to its image of an anonymous blonde wearing a diaphanous white dress. Although most people believed the woman to be Maryam d'Abo (who portrayed Sniper / Cellist Kara Milovy), it was actually a composite image featuring Los Angeles model Kathy Strangel" (aka Kathy Karges).
